When the opportunity came up to visit Dalchini on its opening day, and to sample some of their menu choices, I did not hesitate for a moment. Grove Tavern

Being the oldest pub in the area, there always used to be a steady flow of customers for its food. This started to tail off last year and fell away this year when a large section of the restaurant was closed off due to building works. Now that those renovations are complete, chef Mike Heap has created a really good ‘takeaway menu’. From my orders, I can say that the food is well worth picking up as it was some of the nicest and freshest pub food I’ve eaten in a while.

I’ve had a few beers at the Grove Tavern, as well as using their car park quite a lot — and I admit that when I heard about this opportunity I was pretty excited.
