Spa Breaks In Tunbridge Wells

Spa Breaks In Tunbridge Wells

A Most Fashionable Spa Break

A little while ago I was lucky enough to be invited by some friends to join them on a spa break. The traditional English spa is going through something of an image overhaul at the moment, and for good reason too. Whilst in the past they may have been looked down upon a bit as somewhere that only over-50s went for their rheumatism, there’s a whole new generation of spas open to us. And yes, many of them are packed full of over-50s but the old stereotypes of being exclusively old-people territory is thankfully dying out.

Ten years ago, a spa break would have been considered a little unusual, Tunbridge Wells Life (tunbridgewellslife.co.uk). Not so today when it seems that spas are now part of our lifestyles. According to recent statistics, 60% of the U. S population visit spas each year and 50 million people in Britain use a spa on a regular basis – with health and beauty set to become a billion-pound industry. So what exactly is a day at the spa? Well, it’s all about getting pampered, relaxing and indulging all in one place – sound good?.

A visit to a health spa is a lovely way to escape the stresses of everyday life and it might just provide you with a mini holiday from it all.  When you visit Tunbridge Wells Health spa and sauna, you will be escorted from the reception through to your table where you can enjoy a glass of crisp white wine. Afterwards you are taken to your treatment room and left in the experienced hands of your therapist.

Just one look at the forest that sits to the east of Tunbridge Wells and it’s easy to see why this town is known as The Royal Borough. It is a lovely, leafy part of the country, with some superb amenities a short distance from where you can rest, relax and treat yourself to an excellent spa break. With the stresses of modern life and our busy schedules it can be good to recharge our batteries away from it all, perhaps during a short break in a local spa or health centre.
